SUNDAY INSPIRATION FROM MARDI GRAS MASKED MAYHEM

We all had a wonderful time during the Mardi Gras Masked Mayhem.  You can see everyone's masks in our group shot.  Kourtneigh wowed us all with her beautiful, dramatic mask!
Pam got the most beads by correctly answering the most trivia questions about Mardi Gras.  We all learned a lot about Mardi Gras during this event.
This is one of the two-page layouts we made using some Jenny Bowlin and My Minds Eye papers.  Everyone had so much fun cutting out the hexagons----NOT!  (lol!)
Another two-page layout using Jenny Bowlin papers with some Echo Park paper used for the photo mats.  Everyone learned to make rosettes using the Tim Holtz dies as well as his tip to use tissue tape on the back side to keep it from tearing.
Another of the layouts with more rosettes as well as flourishes, tattered doily, and tattered flowers all using dies from Tim Holtz.  This layout featured My Minds Eye papers.
This layout featured laser cuts by Ray.  He made the corner flourishes and the chipboard word "smile".  The paper used on this layout is by Amy Tangerine.
We all made these cute Valentine bags that Ann designed for us.  They featured laser cut hearts that Ray created using foam core.  These were very popular and several people made more than one for their grandchildren.

We took a break Saturday evening for a Mexican dinner catered by Pulidos, benefiting our friend who is battling cancer.  The food was delicious and we were happy to be able to participate in this benefit by the hospital for Tammy.

At the end of this event, we had created sixteen pages, a gift bag, and learned how to make a folded mini-album.  A very productive and fun-filled weekend.

  1. Such a great weekend with creative gals! Loved how everyone took the samples and made them their own with their creative preferences. We definitely have a ton of talent with our wonderful customers at Cat's! Love them all!
