KinderStampO Design Team Thursday Sketch

 KinderStampO Design Team Thursday Sketch

This Thursday I am doing the sketch for the KinderStampO Design Team. I decided I just had to use the new Authentique Hope Collection with it's soft colors and hint of vintage Easter. Here is the sketch I was given:

And here is the Layout I ended up with from the sketch:

OK, so the layout does not look much like the sketch, but that is the beauty of sketches. You use them to inspire you and you let your creative juices roll with it!  Ray cut the egg paper with our Accucut Ribbon Circle die and then I laced the blue crepe ribbon through it. I used the Tim Holtz Bag die for the journaling tag.  The tag is a combo of the stickers. I used one sticker and backed with the paper. Then I cut the Memories part off another tag and added to this one.  The arrow sticker is also from the sticker sheet.  The cork circles are from Canvas Corp and  were a great addition to the date stickers. The flowers are from Petaloo and the bunnies are one of the Scrap FX border cuts we have at the store. I then colored them with the Tim Holtz Distress Stain.

Tim Holtz Bag die and stickers from the collection along with some cork dots for the date stickers. Great way to have hidden journaling.

In the top left I added one of the word stickers and a beautiful Petaloo flower.

More Petaloo flowers and chipboard bunnies from Scrap FX colored with Tim Holtz Distress Stain.

Love the bunnies and the laced ribbon through the die cut paper.

Hope you enjoyed this layout, I had fun making it. Now to get a good pic this Easter to use on it!  Head on over to www.KinderStampO.com to see more fun goodies from the other design team members.

TUESDAY TEMPTATIONS

It may be windy and cold outside, but this cute mini album will help you remember the sunny days of summer.  Cat and Ray have done it again.  She dreams things up and he cuts them out for her.  These adorable stamps that Cat now has in the store have a starring role in this album.
This mini album will be the perfect place to put all of those photos of you and your BFF's doing all those wild and crazy things together.  This class is scheduled for Saturday, March 23rd at 2:00 p.m.  It is already very popular, so if you are interested, be sure to call the store and reserve your spot.

MARVELOUS MONDAY MEMORIES FROM THE RETREAT

Everyone had a great time cropping, laughing, and relaxing at the retreat.
This is the make-n-take they made using a butterfly cut by Ray on his laser and using Faber Castell products.
Here they are playing with the products and coloring their butterflies.
Kittie and Linda were having fun playing with the gelatos in their pajamas.  One of the fun things at the retreat is staying in your pj's if you want to.
Cutting their papers for the make and take.
These ladies are all hard at work making their pages.
Picking up some Moxxie elephant dung!
The western line of papers was especially popular!
Our sweet Kourtneigh was busy telling this group of Cricut users why the Eclips is the machine they need.  Thanks, Kourtneigh!

If you would like to attend a retreat, call Cat at the store to reserve your spot.  You won't regret it!

SUNDAY INSPIRATION FROM THE RETREAT

As usual, we have a very creative bunch of ladies at the retreat.  They made this as a make-n-take:
Denise Case decided to take the page and add to it:
When Cat brought out the Little Yellow Bicycle "elephant dung", the ladies were really inspired.
Ann created this beautiful layout using the Little Yellow Bicycle papers and flowers.  Love the stitching she added to the layout.
This is another page that Ann created with the "elephant dung".  This time she stitched all around the page.  Ann's stitching on her pages inspired some other retreaters to come to the store and purchase the materials to begin stitching on their pages.
Linda created this sweet layout using the Little Yellow Bicycle products.  Such a sweet baby! Love the clouds in the corner.
Lori created this layout using products from Little Yellow Bicycle.  Love the cluster of flowers in the corner of this layout.

The ladies obviously loved this product line by Little Yellow Bicycle and did a great job creating layouts with it.  We get inspiration from many sources and at retreats and crops we can get inspiration from those around us.  In addition we get inspiration from products that we love.  So look around you and get inspired.  Then take time to create!

IT'S CATURDAY

The retreat is in full swing with the ladies all cropping away until all hours.
Ray and I have enjoyed seeing everyone when they come to the store to shop.
The new Teresa Collins lines have been very popular.
More new product arrived at the store today, but it is more elephant dung for the retreaters.
They will love it!
Did you see the new gelato colors?
Aren't these yummy?  If you have never used gelatos, you need to try them.  They are amazing for coloring bare chipboard.  I have really enjoyed finally using the bare chipboard shapes that I have had for years.  The gelatos are so easy and fun to use.
The retreaters may be hitting the stage tonight...you never know!
Have a great day and I hope you are able to stop by the store to check out some of the new products in the store.

IT'S FRIDAY!!!

 and retreat time!
The ladies have packed up and are headed to the park for a great weekend.
New product arrived today, but is headed out to the retreat as "elephant dung" for the retreaters.
However, there are some things that I can share with you!
These fabulous dies have arrived at the store....along with
This "on the edge die" that will make it look like you tore your paper out of a notebook.
Remember the "Viewmaster" toy from days gone by?  Well, you can make your own picture wheel accents for your scrapbook layouts now!
This Movers and Shapers cameo frame will make a great journaling or title box for your scrapbook page as well as a decorative accent for cards.
This is a set of 3 different sized oval repositionable magnetic dies that you can use with your movers and shapers dies, or the tray.
This clipboard die is full of possibilities.  Just think how cute it will be on your scrapbook page holding the photo or journaling block.  It will also look great on cards!
Look at this wonderful embossing folder.  Perfect for all of those travel projects!
This embossing folder will also look great on travel or masculine projects.
This is a set of ten embossing folders that are ATC sized.  The numbers are large and would be great for birthday or sport layouts.

If you have been waiting to get your hands on these new Tim Holtz creations, wait no longer.  Hurry down to the store to pick up your favorites....or if you are like me, just get one of each!

TUESDAY RETREAT TEMPTATIONS

Cat and Ray are getting everything set up at Mitchell's for the retreat.
Have you started packing all of your things?
Don't forget to pack the Depends....lots of laughing will be going on!

Remember to save a spot for your chair....we don't want this happening to you!
When you get your vehicle loaded up, just head towards the park for a weekend of fun and creativity.
Then, the only thing you have to think about besides scrapbooking is food and sleep....
Don't forget your flashlights....
I haven't seen any bears, but I've seen (and killed) a snake!
Then get ready to
P. A. R. T. Y.
There has been some dancing on the stage around the midnight hour. You just never know what is going to happen!

Only a couple more days until you will be "dancing in the street" and ready for a weekend full of creativity, fun, and surprises.
