SUNDAY INSPIRATION

Nanci inspired us all on Saturday during the April Tag Class.  The tags were beautiful and we learned some more great techniques.
We learned how to use the new distress paints with the new metallic distress paints to make this cool marbled background.
This is my tag with the marbled background.  Our theme this month was inspiration, so Nanci gave us all an awareness ribbon to use.  Since my Mother is battling kidney cancer, I used my distress inks to color the ribbon orange.  Love learning all of these wonderful techniques!
Karen Hackney used some of the Stampendous fragments for this stained glass effect on her butterfly wings.  She also used some of the new metallic paints to paint some wooden butterflies.  Love those Stampendous fragments.  If you haven't played with some of those, you need to.
Nanci also showed us how to make a fabulous embossed brick background using the brick embossing folder and our distress inks.
This is Phyllis' completed tag with her brick background and beautiful butterfly.  Love the blue she used and how she tore the brick so that it looks like a brick wall that is falling down.  Phyllis did such a great job!

This is Patrice's tag as she is inking her butterfly.  Love the purple flower and the colors of her butterfly.  We all get inspiration from each other as well as from Nanci.
Karen Hackney was inspired to purchase one of these Creative Options totes to hold all of her new distress paints distress stains, and gelatos.  She also "upsold" these to several other people and Cat had to restock the shelf.  Great job, Karen!
Several people attended this Mother's Day foldout album class prior to the tag class.
We were busily cutting our paper and gluing it onto our folder bases to make these wonderful albums that Cat designed.
Karen took a few minutes to sweetly talk to her husband while we acted crazy in the background.  While we were making our albums, Cat was busy putting together kits for those who couldn't make the class and purchased kits.

We all had a great time Saturday and went away with so much inspiration.  Thanks Cat and Nanci for the wonderful classes and inspiring us to stretch our creativity.

SUNDAY INSPIRATION

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

Have you been inspired to organize your scrapbooking studio, area, or supplies?  Whether you have a room, corner, or keep your things in totes, it is difficult to keep everything organized.  I have been working on getting my scrapbook room put back together after getting a shelving unit and some new storage for my massive paper collection. It can be very overwhelming!  However, if you have the proper storage for your supplies, it is much easier.  We just got some new storage supplies in from Creative Options that will help you out.
There are two sizes of totes for your tools.
This is the small tote
and the large tote.
These totes are so versatile.  I have all of my embossing powders and Stampendous mica and color fragments in one tote and then have my Distress stains and new Viva paints in another.  Ann Laughlin uses one of these to carry her Tim Holtz distress inks.  There is a drawer underneath in which you can store your smaller items.
The clear bins on the left have small round containers inside in which you can store small items.
Did you pick up some of the Tim Holtz stamps that arrived at the store recently?  These tooled binders are decorative and useful at the same time.
Many of us have the larger mega mount that is perfect for the Cover-A-Card stamps.  If you like the design of the mega mount, but didn't want anything quite that large, this mini mount is perfect!
It will accommodate lots of stamps on it's 4" x 5" surface.

Come on down to the store and pick up some storage Options and "wrangle" all of your scrapbook supplies into order.

TUESDAY TEMPTATIONS

What's on your Christmas list this year?  There are so many wonderful goodies at Cat's that you can add to your list.
Do you need some more storage for your scrapbook supplies?  Cat has quite a variety of storage options for you to pick from.
Maybe some Tim Holtz goodies are on your wish list.  I think most of us wouldn't mind finding some of Tim's amazing products under the tree.
The Stampendous embossing powders, color fragments, and glitters work great with all of your Tim Holtz supplies.
How about some Heidi Swapp sprays.  The color mists are very popular now and are being used numerous different ways on scrapbook layouts.
Maybe you have your eye on some of the new paper collections that have arrived at the store.  Gift certificates are available at the store so that the recipient can purchase whatever they want.
Or, maybe you have been VERY good and Santa will bring you a retreat for Christmas.  Who wouldn't love that?

Whatever you have on your list, you can find it at Cat's.

THANKFUL THURSDAY SPECIALS

It's Thursday....what are you thankful for?  We are so very thankful for you, our fabulous customers!  Come on down to the store and spend some time taking advantage of the wonderful sale Cat is featuring this week.  Today through Saturday all Creative Options products are on sale for 35% off.

In addition to that amazing savings, if you spend $50 on Creative Options products (after the discount), you will get a free bag while supplies last.  I know I'm visiting the store to take advantage of this sale.  Can't have enough storage...especially when we keep buying more product!

We had a lot of fun at our planning session this weekend.  Lots of projects were completed for upcoming events and ideas for even more classes full of great projects.  I'm really looking forward to "Jingle all the Way" on September 29th and creating some fun projects for Christmas.  Have you seen the snowman screen project for that day?
Call ahead and reserve your spot for this project.  We have to know ahead of time how many people are taking this class so that Ray can have the screens made for us.  I can't wait to make one of these cuties to decorate my front porch during the holidays!

Tonight from 6-8:00 pm is our Operation Write Home event to make cards for our troops.

I hope you can join us for this worthy cause.  We always have fun while making cards for our military friends.

While you are at the store, you can take advantage of the great sale on the Creative Options products.
See you at the store!  It's cool inside!
