WE "HEART" THIS TAG!

Check out this beautiful tag/card that Nanci created for
our tag class on Saturday.
She used her favorite BoBunny vintage double dot paper
for the tag holder.
Cupid was die cut, using a Tim Holtz die by Sizzix, from Bazzill cardstock.
We used our Tim Holtz stencils and Distress Inks on each of the
tags that we created in our tag class Saturday.
Check it out as you open up this amazing creation!

The beautiful tag that went into the tag holder.
Everyone enjoyed learning how to make the tag holder
AND the beautiful tag.
Nanci used her Tiny Attacher to show us that staples can really
become a design element.
She made them into little x's that look kind of like cross stitches.
LOVE the verse on the tag.
Nanci used one of Tim Holtz's stamps by Stamper's Anonymous,
which Cat has in stock at the store.
Our new class attendee, Misty, used the bonus arrows
that Nanci gave us to add some fun to her tag/card.
LOVE how her creation turned out!

The next tag class will be on March 14th.
We are always learning new techniques.
Don't miss out on all of the fun!
Call and reserve your place at the next tag class.
You won't be sorry!

OUR SCRAPBOOK COMMUNITY

This is kind of a different post than what I normally write for the store.  However, sometimes it is important to acknowledge the connections we make with the people we meet through this wonderful craft.  I know that I, personally, have made some wonderful friends through Cat's and scrapbooking.  When someone in our scrapbook world needs our prayers, our love, or our help, we pull together to provide what we can to help them through the tough times.

We have lost some wonderful friends to cancer and have some who have fought or are currently battling cancer.  In addition, we have friends who have had catastrophes happen in their family.  Through it all we hang together to support them and to provide an escape for them as they face the challenges life hands them.

What I'm leading up to is that someone whose product we love is currently facing a huge challenge.  Teresa Collins' husband was diagnosed approximately a year ago with Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma.  He underwent numerous treatments, which included intense chemo therapy, with good results.  However, a month after celebrating his birthday and 100+ days post transplant, he told Teresa about a large lump on his neck.  Unfortunately it has grown instead of going away.  They are now going to do testing/biopsy to find out what they are dealing with.  Needless to say, the family is scared.    They need the prayers of us all as they face the unknown.  I don't know how Teresa has been able to go on other than the fact that she was providing for her family during this time when Ty has been incapacitated.

We never know what the future holds and, as the saying goes, "there but for the grace of God, go I".  Friends and family help us make it when life throws us a curve ball.   I have been touched so many times when the scrapbook family at Cat's has come together to help so many who have been dealt a devastating blow.  Let's remember this family in our prayers as well as any other family who is facing struggles.

TEMPTING TUESDAY

MY HOW TIME FLIES!
In less than a month, Cat will be deciding which new products to order at the Craft and Hobby Association Show (CHA).  The companies all roll out fabulous new offerings to tempt the store owners and their customers.  Which companies will you be anxiously awaiting their new releases?
Will it be AdornIt?  They have really been releasing some great family oriented products.
Lots of us are partial to the offerings of Authentique with their fabulous textured heavy cardstock.
BoBunny is nearly always a huge hit.  I have a feeling this year will be no different.
Carta Bella has been a big hit at the store and it will be fun to see what they come out with next.
Crate Paper really had some big hits this last year.  Will they do it again?
The bright colors of Doodlebug are quite popular too.
I'm a big fan of Echo Park...how about you?
Fancy Pants reallly has some great lines and will probably release more hits at the show.
Graphic 45 papers are vintage works of art and super popular.  I'm anxious to see what they release at the show.
Teresa Collins collections have been huge hits and will probably continue to be so.
If it has Tim Holtz's name on the label, it will probably be a huge hit.  Who knows what fabulous products he has dreamed up now!
Webster's Pages are always so elegant.  It will be interesting to see what they have in store or us.

So, what are looking for?

IT'S CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Today is July 25th, which means Christmas is only five months away....YIKES!  To help you decide which Christmas collection(s) you want from all of the new collections we peeked at last week,   I thought I would share them all in one place so you could compare.

Authentique has two offerings for Christmas:
Joyous and
Traditions.

Next up is BoBunny, who also has two Christmas collections:
The beautiful Silver and Gold and
Elf Magic to capture all of those Elf on the Shelf memories.
Crate Paper's Bundled Up is filled with vintage images.
Graphic 45's Twelve Days of Christmas is both vintage and elegant...gorgeous!
My Minds Eye Vintage Christmas has fantastic Santa Claus images.
Simple Stories makes it easy for you to capture those December memories with their December Documented collection.
Collection Pack • SL1015
Teresa Collins has another winner with this beautiful Christmas collection, Santa's List.
Tim Holtz has a Christmas paper stash that is red, black and white.
A Christmas Story from Webster's Pages is very beautiful.
The other Christmas collection from Webster's Pages is designed by Allison Kreft and is more of a whimsical design, but has some vintage elements as well.

That's a lot of Christmas to absorb!  I can't wait to see which ones Cat ordered for the store.  Obviously, the store doesn't have room for ALL of it....she had some tough decisions to make!   Watch on Facebook and here on the blog to see the collections as they arrive at the store.

TEMPTING TUESDAY WITH TERESA COLLINS SNEAK PEEKS

The Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) show is less than a week away and the manufacturers are sharing sneak peeks of their new product.  So, I thought I would share some of these sneak peeks with you. Just a reminder:
I am sharing sneak peeks of what the
 manufacturers are offering, but this
does not mean they are all going to be ordered for the store.
The store is not big enough to hold EVERYTHING that
is offered, so Cat does her best to order what the majority
of her customers want.
The items that Cat orders will be scheduled out and will
arrive over the next several months.

Today, we will look at the new Teresa Collins products that will debut at the show.  I will just show a photo or two and give you a link to their blog to see the rest of the product line if you would like to see it.
FS1015-Collection-Pack
This is the "Family Stories" collection.  As always, her collections are on thick, textured paper.
This collection will work for so many different things.  Be sure you click on the link and check out all of the different papers and the embellishments.
MB1015-Collection-Pack
This is their collection, "Memorabilia".  Great colors and and lots of black and white--would coordinate great with the My Minds Eye "Chalk Studio" line.....
Collection Pack • MP1015
This is the Teresa Collins Halloween line, "Masquerade Party".   As always, Teresa Collins even makes Halloween elegant!

Collection Pack • SL1015
Introducing the Teresa Collins' Christmas line, "Santa's List" - It has the traditional colors and some great Santa artwork.

I hope you have enjoyed these sneak peeks.  Come back tomorrow for WOW Wednesday and then more sneak peeks on Thursday.
