SUNDAY INSPIRATION

Lance Anderson, aka Mr. Pickle, provides us with lots of inspiration.  We are so glad he is coming back to retreat with us at the National Scrapbook Day Retreat.   In addition to having lots of fun, he is even teaching a class or two.   He had so much fun last year at our NSD retreat with all of us crazies that he wanted to come back again.   I think one of his favorite things was the dancing on the stage at with the disco light and twinkle lights.   Lance is a wonderful teacher and has taught scrapbook classes many places and we are honored that he enjoys teaching us.  We certainly enjoy the classes he teachers.

This is the class that Lance is teaching that is included in the NSD retreat.  It uses Echo Park's "Note to Self collection and features the ever popular picture wheel on the front of the album. 

This rustic travel album is one of the optional add-on classes that Lance is teaching.  I can't wait to see this one in person since the photos we have are blurry.  Didn't deter me from signing up for this one!

This circle album is going to be lots of fun with the pull-out tabs.  The papers on it will be different from those pictured and Lance will be getting us photos of it as soon as he can.  I love this round album--lots of fun features.

If you haven't ever taken a class from Lance, you are in for a treat.   He is always fun and is so patient with all of us when he is teaching.   Lance teaches us lots of fun techniques in his classes.  He is the one who taught us about using duct tape for hinges on the accordion fold-outs in our mini albums.  Who knows what he will teach us this time.  Thank you Lance Anderson for joining us again for our National Scrapbook Retreat!

CAT-TASTIC CATURDAY!

One of our favorite people is coming back play with us at the National Scrapbook Day retreat. Joey Otlo, from  Bazzill Paper,  loves hanging out with the ladies at Cat's and the feeling is mutual. She is an awesome instructor whose classes are very popular at our retreats. 

As you can see, Joey is lots of fun and fits right in with all of our craziness and creativity. Joey will be teaching an inclusive class at the retreat along with an optional add-on class. She will also be doing one of the Make N Takes at our Make N Take Frenzy.

This is the gatefold album that is the optional add-on class that Joey is teaching at the NSD retreat.  The cost is only $30,  and you still have time to sign up for the class if you haven't already done so.  The deadline for signing up for the classes is April 10, so don't procrastinate too long. 

Have you seen the sketches from Cat's Sketch Fever?   We are having a challenge with two weeks to participate, so you still have plenty of time to create layouts using these great sketches.  Valerie has created some wonderful layouts using these sketches.  I am hoping to find time to participate and hope that you can find time as well.

CLEARLY, IT'S FRIDAY!

Say "Hello" to Geni Hendershot.   She is back in Texas & will be joining us for lots of flamingo fun at the NSD retreat.   Geni will be teaching the "Clearly It's a Happy Birthday Album" class at the retreat. Geni has taught scrapbook classes for years.  Cat and Geni met at Scrapbook Warehouse in Colleyville, where Geni taught Scrapbook Design University many years ago. In addition, Geni has taught on Cruise for a Cure in years past as well as doing a lot of the organizing for it. We are so glad to have Geni back in Texas & teaching at the store! Watch the store for more classes from Geni.

WOW, IT'S CAT'S SKETCH FEVER!

I've been hinting around at some changes coming for WOW Wednesday.  We want to start having a challenge twice a month involving the sketches from Cat and Nanci (CatNanDo) and Sketch Inspiration.  We also still want to have WOW Wednesday, but allow you two weeks to participate and have it twice a month.  The sketch challenges will also run two weeks.  There will be reminders that you still have time to participate, either by creating layouts or by commenting.  There will be a prize for the randomly chosen winner from the participants and commenters.

Life is busy, so we are hoping that by allowing you to have two weeks to participate that maybe more people will be able to participate.   This is the schedule we will follow:

First and Third Wednesdays:  Cat's Sketch Fever Challenge

Second and Fourth Wednesdays:  WOW Wednesday Linky Party

This is the second exclusive sketch that Trisha from Sketch Inspiration has shared with us.  You can use this sketch or the CatNanDo sketch to participate.  We will not always have choices for you, but for our very first Cat's Sketch Fever challenge, we wanted to give you a choice. 

 

We love seeing the work of our talented friends and customers and there is always inspiration to be found while visiting their projects. Would you like to participate, but do not have a blog? You do not have to have a blog to participate. You can find the directions on how to link up your creations that you have in a gallery here.

The store is filled with new products to tempt us. 

Three new lines of Best Creations arrived.  Above is the adorable farm line of papers.   LOVE this!

MARVELOUS MONDAY

It's a Marvelous Monday here at Cat's!  Some bunny hopes you had a wonderful Easter weekend!

Come to the crop next Saturday, April 6th, and take a side trip out to Mitchell's Resort and RV Park for the Kite Festival.  Kevin has invited us all to the resort to check out the Kite Festival as his guests & try their version of running with the bulls. (I have no idea & he won't tell.) Great photo op for all of us. Who's up for some added craziness?  It would also give you some great photos to put in this cute album!   

 Not only do we offer classes, we also will help you with the photo ops so that you have the photographs to put in the albums! (LOL!)
