IT''S CATURDAY

It's time for the second tag class today.  I wonder what fabulous tags will be created today!  Nanci shared a sneak peek with us:

Looks like we are going to be using some facets on our tags.  I see the pinecone...so we will learn how to make the pinecone using Tim Holtz's die. 

I understand that hurricane Sandy prevented one of the orders from arriving, so we will improvise (aka be creative).  Look what DID come in:

Paper Crafter's Crayons by Faber Castell.  Cat was going to play with these on some tags.  It will be fun to see what she dreamed up using these cool things!

 

I hope you are able to spend some time being creative this weekend.  Stop by the store and pick up your supplies.

IT'S FRIDAY!

Happy Friday!  What do you have planned for this weekend?  I hope some creating is in your plans.  A lot of us will be at Cat's for the second tag class.  We had so much fun creating beautiful tags with Nanci.  Even though our order from Ranger has been delayed by hurricane Sandy, it will just force us to be more creative by using what is available.  I think that is even more fun!

In addition to the tag class, some will be getting things ready for the retreat that begins on Thursday, November 8th.  While you are packing for the retreat, don't forget your chair!

Pack your bags...don't forget the important things!

Pack a flashlight...haven't seen any bears, but we know there are snakes.

Might need to pack some depends....there will be lots of laughing!

When you get to the retreat, all you have to worry about is eating, sleeping, and creating.

Load up your car and head for Mitchell's Resort in Perrin.

Get ready to have a blast creating, laughing, eating, and relaxing.

TUESDAY RETREAT TEMPTATIONS

Do you need to just get away from it all and relax?  Nothing is more relaxing than the sound of a little waterfall.  There is still time to sign up for the November retreat that begins next week on Thursday, November 8.  If you can't make it on Thursday, you can sign up to begin your retreat on Friday, November 9. 

Time to relax in the beautiful countryside and get in a little game of miniature golf.

Time to gather round the table and pick up some beautiful new product that was saved just for the retreaters.

or maybe roll in the floor laughing...you just never know!

MARVELOUS MONDAY WITH SKETCH INSPIRATION

Trisha posted Sketch 344 over on Sketch Inspiration yesterday.  This one looks like lots of fun and I am anxious to make a layout with it.  I hope you find time to create a layout using this sketch so I can share your work on the blog next Monday.

This is Sketch 343 from last week.

I was excited to see that Valerie created another on of her beautiful layouts last week and used the sketch.  She did a wonderful job creating this layout of her daughter and her family at the pumpkin patch.  LOVE it!

This is the layout I created using some wonderful papers from My Minds Eye.  In addition to using the sketch from Sketch Inspiration, I also joined in on the challenge over at the CSI website, where Shaunery Wharton is a design team member.  Their challenges really make you stretch your creativity.

IT'S A TAG-TASTIC SUNDAY

Yesterday everyone had a tag-tastic day at the store learning techniques and making beautiful tags.

 Nanci explained and demonstrated the techniques that would be used to make the tags.
