CAT-TASTIC CAT-URDAY

I hope you are all having a CAT-TASTIC CAT-URDAY!  The first Thursday of every other month, we make cards at Cat's for the Operation Write Home Project. We have a box at Cat's collecting cards for this project if you have made some and would like to donate them.  We will make cards again on September 6th and would love for you to join us.

Today we are featuring some cards that Valerie Light made for this worthy organization.  These first two cards are "any hero" cards in which she will write a thank you note to our soldiers.  She used the Pebbles "Let Freedom Ring" collection of paper for these cards.  Love that kraft background and the simple beauty of these cards.
This is such a cute card.  She used some monkey paper by Creative Imaginations (I think) and some really cute pom pom trim to make this card that will be perfect for a soldier to send to his/her child.  Love how this card turned out.

This card is perfect for a soldier to send home just to let them know they are thinking of them.  It has got to be so hard for our soldiers and their families to be separated.

We would love to have you join us on September 6th and make cards for our troops to send home to their families.  Have a cat-tastic weekend!

  3. YAY! I know we also talked about collecting cards for Operation Write Home at the September retreat. Please spread the word that we need general (birthday, thanks, miss you, love you or no sentiment at all) AND Christmas/winter themed cards. The cards should be 4.25 x 5.5". Other guidelines include NO GLITTER and no handwritten sentiments. Let's fill a box for the troops, ladies! WOOHOO!

  4. Love Valerie's cards! And I love making cards for OWH though I have fallen behind on making the quota I wanted to make for the cause this year. I plan on cropping at the store on Saturday and working exclusively on OWH cards and hope to be at the September OWH event!
