STILL FROZEN AND CLOSED

We are still snowed in as we are sure you are too.  We don't want anyone, including ourselves, to drive to the store in this dangerous mess.  So, stay home and take lots of beautiful snow photos.  We have beautiful winter collections for you to use to preserve your Snow 2015 memories.  See you Tuesday!!!

SNOW FUN AT THE RETREAT!

 

They danced the night away last night.

Then, Kevin (owner of the resort) took them on sled rides today.

 

Kelly had so much fun that Pam had to give it a try!

Then they went sledding two at a time!

Kourtneigh gets extra points for style!

 

Photo op for Jackie...she didn't actually ride the sled, 

but now she has a sled photo to scrapbook.

Mesquite Pit wasn't able to navigate the roads to the retreat to 

cater the meal tonight. 
However, the girls weren't too sad....

they had a yummy German chocolate cake for dessert.

Yummmmmm.......

 

CLOSED TODAY

It is snowing heavily right now with several more hours of snow ahead.  Valerie sent me this picture from town and said the roads are covered and slick.  Too treacherous for us to travel and we especially do not want our valued customers/dear friends to be out in these conditions.  Stay home and keep warm.  Watch Facebook and this blog for news about tomorrow.  

CLEARLY GREAT NEW STUFF

 

We got these really cool boxes in from Clear Scraps.

They will make great gifts for graduation and Mother's Day.

 Cat used one of the boxes and created a gorgeous 

keepsake box.

 We also got these cool mirrored shapes and she incorporated one onto the lid of the box.

Another mirrored shape on the inside so that

you can look at yourself and read the quote:

"You are beautiful just the way you are."

LOVE that!

 We also got these great clear clipboards.

 Another item that we got is a 5 x 7 tent frame.

 

Valerie used some mirrored banner shapes

and decorated the frame.

It is ready for a birthday photo now.

So, it is clear that you need to come by the store

and pick up some of these cool new

products from Clear Scraps.

WE ARE OPEN!!!

The roads are wet, but I didn't encounter any ice.  The drive in was beautiful with the big fluffy flakes falling and snow on all the grass and trees. 

We have the fire and heaters going so you can warm up.  Cat and Ray are here gathering up stuff to take to the retreat.

CAT'S SKETCH FEVER

Since it is cold outside, Cat created a sketch

with flowers for us.

Love it when you can get lots of photos on

So get everything loaded into that vehicle

and head to Mitchell's Resort in Perrin

for a CROPPING GOOD TIME!

 

FROZEN.....AND I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE MOVIE

 

It is a frozen winter wonderland outside in North Texas today.

Cat braved the elements a few minutes (in Ray's coveralls)

and snapped some GORGEOUS photos of the birds.

Look at this close-up of the cardinal in the oak tree!

Cardinals are such a bright spot on snowy, dreary days.

 

Check out the woodpecker that came to visit.

You can see the sleet still falling in this one.

Not to be outdone by the beautiful cardinal,

this beautiful blue jay came to visit.

Still not as spectacular as the cardinals,

in my opinion.

 

As you can see, the ground is covered in sleet.

 Cat and I did some texting earlier and

do not think we will open the store on Tuesday.

It's not going to get above freezing today,

so no opportunity for this icy mess to go away.

I live on a steep hill out in the country and

have to navigate a curvy, country road to

get to 281 and the store.

We don't want YOU to try to get out in the mess either!

So, unless you see otherwise here or on Facebook,

we won't be open until

Wednesday morning.
