TOMCAT JUST KEEPS ON TICKING.....THANKFULLY!

During a recent check-up,

it was discovered that Ray's heart was

beating irregularly.

Not just a little bit

When they had him wear a monitor

for 24 hours, they discovered

that his heart actually was

stopping for 3-4 seconds at a time!

They tried to stop/restart his heart and

get it back into rhythm, but it didn't work.

So, Monday it was time for a

pacemaker!

Ray was anxious to let us all know

that he was doing fine after the surgery.

He had to spend the night in ICU,

which is routine.

He was released from the hospital

Tuesday morning and

couldn't wait to stop for breakfast at I-Hop!

Cat treated him to some

homemade banana pudding.

His heart might have skipped a beat over that!

Cat is very glad to have her "studmuffin" back home

and we are so glad he is home too!

Speedy recovery, Tomcat!

CAT'S SKETCH FEVER

Cat has another set of fabulous sketches

for us this week.

I love the cluster of banners in the left hand

corner.  They make such a nice

backdrop for the title!

Great way to use up some scraps

of coordinating paper!

Here's the facing page.

Since I forget to take portrait style

shots, I just substitute a landscape shot

for the one on the left.

That's the great thing about sketches.

You can change them to fit your needs!

Remember, all of Cat's sketches are available

HERE.

I figured out a way to have them available

to me without internet access.

With your smart phone, just click on

the link above.

Then click on each sketch and take

a screenshot of each one.

Put them in a folder on your phone.

Then you have easy access to them.

LOVE having them at my

fingertips.

Grab some photos and pretty paper

and have fun cropping with

Cat's sketches!

ARE YOU GOING TO ATTEND?

Have you signed up for the

Bible Journaling class on Saturday?

It's a lot of fun and

a great way to spend the evening.

We learn about new techniques and products

that work on the very thin paper

Bibles are printed on.

Some are using old hymnals to

journal about the Bible verses.

It doesn't matter.

The point is to illustrate what a verse

means to you.

I hope you will join us this Saturday

at 6:00 p.m. for

an inspiring evening of

Bible Journaling.

We usually have the tag class

prior to the journaling class,

but Nanci has a staff development to

do for school.

The tag class will be October 24th.

You can still come spend the day

scrapbooking or just journaling in your Bible.

See you Saturday!

CROPPING OUT JUVENILE DIABETES

Saturday, it was all about

Cropping out Juvenile Diabetes.

While we had creative fun,

we also raise money for this worthy cause.

There were bags full of goodies for us

to purchase tickets for chances to win.

Cat, Vickie, and two Sharons went to

Mark Witschorke's  Antique store before

Cat's opened and picked up some things to alter.

This window/shelf is one

that Sharon Leonard purchased to alter

for Christmas.

The finished product will look great on her

walls during the holidays.

 Cat altered this picture frame

for the Christmas holidays.

The candy striped rods were also purchased

at Mark's.

This picture frame is another one that

Sharon Leonard altered.

Very elegant!

We had lots of fun creating on Saturday

while cropping for a great cause.

Plus we won same great prizes!

IT'S ENCHANTING!!!

Check out this enchanting collection from BoBunny,

"Enchanted Harvest".

This was part of the "elephant dung"

aka new product,

at the retreat a couple of weeks ago.

Needless to say, it was quite popular.

It has fairies, seed packets, butterflies,

words, leaves....everything beautiful!

There was just a little left and it is

at the store calling your name!

Cat used some of it to create this gorgeous

two page layout.  Check out how well the

butterflies in her photos match the ones on the paper.

It is uncanny how well the paper

matches these photos.

Absolutely stunning!

If you didn't think you needed this paper before,

you know you need it now!

Stop by the store and pick some up before

it is all gone.
