BURSTING WITH FUN!!!!

This group of ladies
(plus me-I had to leave early)
had a BLAST learning all about
Ken Oliver's Color Burst inks.

A TINY bit of color burst
mixed with water and you have
MAGIC!!!!
Ken showed everyone the proper technique
for getting the ink pigments out of
the little bottles.
Big smiles all around
as Ken demonstrates the
fabulous techniques!
A captive audience
surrounded Ken as he
explained all of the things
we were doing during the class.
Look at those happy girls!!!
We learned so much from Ken.
He is a great teacher and we cannot
wait for him to visit again!
These lovely little bottles are what
all of the fuss is about!
The ladies loved them, so
Cat has ordered more!

JUNKSPIRATION CREATIVE FUN

Saturday was our very first
JUNKSPIRATION
class.
What is Junkspiration?
It is when you turn "junk" into art!

Cat gave us the kits and
turned us loose with
a few instructions.

Nanci speedily got her shutters painted
and ready for the next step.
She is going to use hers standing up like this.
Love her chalkboard art
with the Marvy Uchida bistro chalk markers!

LaRue created this beauty.
Love how she did the Tim Holtz alcohol inks on the metal!
This is Selena's.
She used some great chunky twine on her letters.
LOVED how she put the knob in the middle of the "o".

This is Steph's and she is adding some ribbon.
Steph also used a couple of Canvas Corp's
burlap flowers in coordinating colors
to embellish her project.

This is mine.
Obviously, I'm going to
use it in the kitchen!
I used a cow and chicken
from Ray's Lazer and he is
working on the rooster for me!

We all had a blast and
most of us were anxious for
Ken Oliver's class on Sunday.
Check back tomorrow
for pictures from that fun day!

IT WAS CRAZINESS!!!

Saturday it was
Collection Kit
CRAZINESS!!

But the craziness quieted down when
Cat got the markers out and the ladies
got busy coloring.

It was a coloring
PARTY!!!!

Look at that pretty flower she is coloring!
They had so much fun coloring their flowers.
Coloring time was over and then it was back
to work.
Now it is time to cut and paste!
It was a room full of great students.
 Then it was time to
FUSSY CUT!

The room got quiet again as they all concentrated
on their fussy cutting.

Cutting and cutting and cutting!

At the end of the day the ladies had created some
beautiful layouts and
had a lot of fun.

BIBLE JOURNALING CLASS

Saturday night was our first Bible journaling class
and it was a FULL house.

And just as we have each been made unique,

everyone's  journaling was beautifully unique.
 There was lots of fellowship
(aka visiting, yakking...etc)
 and checking out everyone's handywork.
If you don't want to journal in a
Bible, you can use an art journal,
hymnal, or whatever you choose.

Everyone was smiling and having a good time.
All the while, they were creating beautiful
artwork in their Bible or other book.
People learned to use new mediums
and how much fun gelatos are!
It's like finger painting!!!
Supplies and ideas were shared by all.
 But most of all, everyone
left inspired.

Cat asked when we would like to meet and how often.
It was decided that we would meet
at 6:00 p.m. the second Saturday of each month.

I hope you can join us next month!
