FABULOUS FRIDAY

The last tag class was last night and everyone was in a super creative mode.  Cat created this beautiful tag using the Tim Holtz poinsettia and pine cone dies, the pine branch die by Impression Obsession, a clip and fold out journaling card by 7 Gypsies.  She did a fabulous job, as always.  The special orders for the Tim Holtz stamps arrived and everyone was quite pleased with their arrival.  Cat was taking orders for die that people wanted that had already sold out.  And, as expected, the Graphic 45 "Place in Time" line was very popular and she is already running low on some of the papers....I see a reorder of some of that line in the future.

The class for this adorable gingerbread album is set for 1:00 p.m. on December 8th, and the cost is $55.  Make sure you call and reserve your spot so that there will be a kit waiting for you on the 8th.  This class can also be purchased as a kit if you cannot make it to the class.

Nanci had her fold-out Valentine album at the tag class and it is so cute.  I love the larger size of the album and it should work nicely with 4 x 6 photos.  It's getting time to start making holiday gifts, so be sure to check the store calendar or the event tab on facebook to check out the classes that are coming up soon.  The classes are great ways to make some of the gifts on your Christmas list.

I hope you have a fabulous friday.  Come back tomorrow for a Cat-tastic Caturday!

TAG-TASTIC TUESDAY TEMPTATIONS

While she was at the retreat, Nanci was busy creating some beautiful tags for our next tag class.  She created this beautiful Christmas tree tag with the three dimensional branches and the sheet music background.  I love the fluffy branches on this one!

Look at this one with the adorable Santa clause image.  It also features the three dimensional branches, this time with berries on them.  Look at that fabulous wood grain background!  So much to love about this tag.
OH MY...look at this beautiful tag.  Wood grain background, acrylic accent with a snowflake on it, more three dimensional branches...What's not to love about this one?

Thursday night can't get here fast enough!  We are going to have so much fun learning how Nanci made these fabulous tags.  Have you signed up for any of the tag classes?  Even if you haven't taken any of the previous tags, you can take this last class.  You will learn some wonderful techniques from Nanci and we all learn from each other as well.  Contact Cat if you would like to sign up for this fabulous class and she can give you a list of supplies that you will need for the class.

See you Thursday night at the store for the last of our wonderful tag classes!

MARVELOUS MONDAY

The November retreat came to a close Sunday afternoon.  This is what Allison Graves had to say about it:

"Oh my, what a fun time we all had at Cat's November retreat! If you haven't been to one, you must go! Don't have the inclination or time for a 3 or 4 day retreat? Why not stop into the store for a Saturday crop - after all, they are FREE! November is a month when we give thanks, and I must say that I'm thankful to have a Local Scrapbook Store (LSS) as awesome as Cat's Creations!!! Thank you for sharing your creativity with us and providing a location for awesome "girl time" where we can also find the latest and greatest scrapbooking products!"

I think we can all agree that the retreats are so much fun and we are VERY blessed to have such a great scrapbook store in our town.

Nanci used the Authentique "Lovely" collection to make one of those cute fold-out albums.  This album is bigger than the ones we have made in the past and will accomodate 4 x 6 photos nicely.
Love these pages with the keys on them and the dry embossed photo mats.
Love how these albums fold out...fold out some more...and then again!
LOVE IT!!!!  If you love it and want to take the class, it is on Saturday, January 12th at 1:30 p.m.
Cat took the same collection and made a 6 x 6 pocket album.  I love how they took the same paper collection and made albums that look nothing alike!
Love how all of the pages are pockets and hold tags.
Yes, it is very "lovely"!
Love those polka dots and the cute images.  If you love this album too, you can take the class on Thursday, January 24th at 6:00 p.m.

Another fabulously creative album by Cat.  If you would like to take this class, it will be on Saturday, December 8th, at 1:00 p.m.

Yes, Allison, we are very blessed to have a scrapbook store in Mineral Wells.  The bonus is that we have Cat and Nanci and their fabulous talents!

SUNDAY INSPIRATION

The retreat has been full of inspiration.  From the make-n-take to Nanci's tag creations to the mini albums that Cat and Nanci made using the new Authentique to the many creations everywhere during the retreat.  Everyone was in a super creative mode during the retreat and lots of beautiful projects were created.
LOVE this western Christmas tag that Nanci created.  She  used the Tim Holtz pinecone die and her eClips to perfectly cut out the stamped images.  Beautiful!  And the stitching around the edge is the perfect touch.
Another beaautiful western Christmas tag.  Love the rich greens and browns on this tag.  Everyone at the retreat was inspired by these tags.  I know we had some people purchasing supplies at the store to to create their own beautiful Christmas tags.
Everyone had a great time stamping with the Impression Obsession stamps for the make and take out at the retreat.
The finished project: - a beautiful Christmas card.
And, of course, there were some Impression Obsession stamps available for sale afterwards!

Tomorrow we will see the two mini albums that Cat and Nanci created for classes in January--very cute!

If you couldn't attend this retreat, the next one will be at the end of February, 2013.  Call Cat to reserve your spot now, while there is space available.

IT'S CAT-TASTIC CATURDAY

I hope everyone is having a Cat-tastic Caturday!

Look what Cat has been up to:
This gingerbread house is so cute with the gingerbread man peeking outside.
Open the doors and the gingerbread man is there to greet you.
Welcome to his festive home.
He has a beautiful Christmas tree.
Santa's on the rooftop, and, the stockings were hung by the fireplace with care....
The tour of the gingerbread house is now complete--even the back is cute.

Isn't it adorable?  How does she come up with these fabulous ideas!!!  Get ready for a great class.  Watch the blog, facebook, and the calendar for details.  You don't want to miss the class for this great mini album in which to keep your treasured Christmas photos.
