W.O.W. WEDNESDAYS - GIVEAWAY

So, you ask, what is W.O.W. Wednesday all about?   It is the Work Of our Wonderful customers Wednesday.  Beginning next Wednesday, we want you to link up the post on your blog featuring some of your WONDERFUL work or to your online gallery.  We ask that the link is for a specific post or item and not to your general blog or gallery.   So, get busy and create some Wonderful Work to share with everyone.  We will use Mr. Linky for everyone to click on and leave comments for you.  Each Saturday, at 11:00 p.m. CST, I will use random.org to select a winner from all of the comments and another winner will be chosen from those who are sharing their work.  Keep reading to the end to find out how you can get a chance to win a prize this week!

On Monday, I told you about the fabulous new line by Kaisercraft called RockPool.  I made a 2 page layout using the new Sketch from Sketch Inspiration along with the shell shaped paper from this line. 



I had to purchase some of the new Indie Chic washi tape by My Minds Eye since it went perfectly with this line of paper.  I used it, along with some narrow strips of paper I cut, along the bottom of the layout.  Since I didn't want to cover up the shaped paper, I used some 6 inch wide tulle in place of the strip of paper shown in the sketch.  The background paper I used was some embossed Coredinations paper that I used my Tim Holtz sander to distress.   The photo mats were made using some cardstock from the Echo Park This and That line.  The colors went nicely with the RockPool paper.  I inked my papers with a Biscotti Powder Puff chalk ink pad. 

This week, as a warm-up to our first W.O.W. Wednesday next week, we will use random.org to pick a winner from everyone who follows the blog once we reach 100 followers.  If you have cropping buddies who don't follow the blog, make sure they sign up.  It is real easy.  All you do is click on the button on the right side of the blog, then follow the instructions. Someone will win and it might as well be you!

TUESDAY'S TERRIFIC LAYOUTS

 Have you seen the "Hello Cupcake" collection from Imaginisce?  It features some really cute paper with varnish accents.  Cat made these really wonderful layouts of her grandson's birthday using a sketch from Sketch Inspiration. 

 Carta Bella is a new sister company of Echo Park.  Where Echo Park paper is smooth, the paper by Carta Bella is textured.  The designs are very different from those of Echo Park.  Cat has made some beautiful pages featuring their very first release, Beautiful Moments.  As you can see, this line of paper lends itself nicely to heritage pages, although it would also work beautifully with some nature photos as well as other topics. 

These pages feature a green patterned paper background.  The next pages are from the same line of papers but look totally different.  Those roses are just gorgeous.  Cat "fussy cut" them and popped them up with foam tape.  I love how these pages all turned out.  So very pretty.

Valerie created some really cute layouts with the latest Bella Blvd. collection and some adorable photos of "Peanut".  Absolutely adorable!

This cute paper is available at the store as well as all of the papers featured in these wonderful layouts by Cat and Valerie.  They both used sketches by Sketch Inspiration for all of these layouts and gave us all some fabulous inspiration. 

While they have been busily creating these layouts featuring some of the latest arrivals in the store, Cat has been busily looking over all of the new releases by the companies for the CHA show.  I've been scouring the internet for sneak peeks and WOW--she has her work cut out for her deciding which of the new product to bring in to tempt us.  The store isn't big enough to hold everything that is released, so she has to try to figure out what we won't be able to resist.  What a chore.  I wouldn't do very good at that since I would be tempted to only buy what I like.  Everyone who likes pink and frou frou stuff would be out of luck.  Good thing Cat is able to put her own preferences aside and purchases things for ALL of her customers.  There is lots of beautiful product being released and I know she will bring in what she believes to be the cream of the crop for us.

NEW THINGS

Hi, everyone.  This is Marilyn Nimmo posting and I have made the past couple of posts on the blog. Cat asked me if I would help her out by keeping the blog updated and making regular posts.  We are going to host some blog hops and have some contests with prizes, so you will want to add the blog to your regular reads so you don't miss out on the fun and chance to win some goodies.

Today, I want to let you know about some new merchandise in the store.  Little Yellow Bicycle's "The Escape" arrived last week and is perfect to use for your summer vacation photos.  It has some wonderful papers and Little Yellow Bicycle always has fabulous embellishments.  In addition to "The Escape", another Little Yellow Bicycle collection, "Splash" also is in the store.  The colors on these two collections work great together, so you can mix and match between them.  Click on the links above to check out these fabulous lines and come by the store to pick some up.   If you live too far away, just give Cat a call and she will mail it to you.

Cat is now tempting us with yet another great line of papers.  I don't remember Kaisercraft ever being in the store before, but have admired their products in cyberspace.  "RockPool" is in the house and Nanci has already designed a mini album with this wonderful beach collection.  It has the absolute cutest seahorse I have ever seen.  And if you like teal and brown, this is the beach collection for you.  There is also a beautiful seashell shaped paper that is to die for!!!  Click on the link above to view this beautiful collection and stop by the store to pick up your stash.  Remember, if you live too far away to visit the store, just give Cat a call to have your stash mailed to you.

HAVE YOU SIGNED UP FOR THE BEACH PAIL CLASS?

The class for this album is Saturday, July 28th at 2:00 p.m.  This album was featured on Authentique's blog and uses their "Fresh" line of paper.  It is a wonderfully unique line of beach paper that features vintage prints and a pastel blue and red on the usual thick, textured paper that we expect from Authentique. 

Students in this class will use burlap and foil to make some unique elements in this bucket of beach fun to hold those beach memories.  

There will be some fold-out pages to hold more photos of those priceless beach memories. 

Plus, you will get to incorporate a beach ball in this fabulous album.  

So, don't miss out on the chance to make a unique album to preserve your memories of fun at the beach. 

If you want to make a day of it, just be at the store at 10:00 a.m. and you can make this mini album featuring BoBunny's Weekend Market collection.  This is an album made for Raylene's retreat and due to popular demand it is now a class available at the store.  Students in this class will get to work out their frustrations by  wadding up some paper to make some really cool page elements.  

So, make a day of it with us at the store on July 28th and end up with two albums for preserving those priceless memories.

Bag Sale Frenzy

Everyone had a great time and now there is room for the new fabulous products the manufacturers are releasing for the Craft and Hobby Association show.   Orders are already being placed to get new product in your hands.

Bag Sale This Weekend!

July is HERE.  That means CHA is around the corner.  That means we will be purchasing all kinds of fun NEW goodies for you.  Actually I have already started ordering, LOL!  That means we will be needing ROOM for the new goodies.  Bag sale is the perfect answer.  It will start at 10am sharp on Saturday, July 7th.  Have your $50 cash (only) in hand as you come through the door and we will hand you your bag.  The tables will be set up with all kinds of paper, embellishments and goodies for you to stuff into your bag.  Whatever you can get in there from the tables is yours to keep!  Average bag total is about $400.  Some extremely good stuffers have walked out with over $1000 in their bags! Such a DEAL ladies!
